Facts...
She was born on the 11th of August 1897 and she had two brothers; Hanly and Carely, but was the eldest. Blyton was educated at St. Christopher's School in Beckenham, leaving as head girl. Enid trained to be a teacher at Ipswich High School. Her first book, Child Whispers, was published in 1922. On 28th August 1924 she married Major Hugh Alexander Pollock. They moved to Beaconsfield and had two girls, Gillian Mary and Imogen Mary. In 1931, she wrote a series of shorts in magazines, starting like this:
